“Devastation inspires non-stop giving.”
On January 20, 2009, our whole world fell apart when we received the news that our three year old daughter, Charlotte Jennie, had a large tumor in the middle of her brain.
As we endured four brain surgeries, several rounds of chemotherapy, experimental proton beam radiation treatments, countless hospitalizations, and the eventual death of our beautiful, precious little girl, I know of no other woman/mother who could have endured this with such strength and grace as my wife, Rachel.
As we still journey through our grief, I am constantly amazed at how she has been able to continue working at a level of excellence most never see under the best of circumstances and how she has helped build a successful non-profit organization benefiting families in the same situation we found ourselves in just over a year ago.
She inspires everyone around her.
Thank you for letting me submit her story.
